THE BOOK ‘ECHOES, CASSINA. 50 YEARS OF IMAESTRI’, NOW AVAILABLE AS A PREVIEW THROUGH THE CASSINA NETWORK

‘Echoes, Cassina. 50 Years of iMaestri’ curated by Ivan Mietton with the artistic direction of Nicola Aguzzi from Undo-Redo and published by Rizzoli, is now available as an exclusive preview through the Cassina network. The book will be on sale from February 2024 in all bookstores, online retailers and wherever books are sold.

Published in honour of the 50th anniversary of the Cassina iMaestri Collection, the book not only tributes a collection that has contributed to writing the history of design but, above all, celebrates Cassina’s unique method of carrying out research and development to create a dialogue between past, present and future, always in pursuit of authenticity and culture.

‘Echoes, Cassina. 50 Years of iMaestri’ retraces the history of the Cassina iMaestri Collection, highlighting the company’s pioneering approach through contributions from CEO Luca Fuso, Art Director Patricia Urquiola, renowned philosopher Emanuele Coccia and also the book’s curator. Five chapters present the reflections of six international experts and feature in-depth focus on each of the fourteen masters in a narrative enabled by Cassina's ongoing dialogue with the foundations, heirs and museum archives.

To celebrate this anniversary, works shot by leading photographers were commissioned for each chapter to give a new interpretation to a selection of iconic pieces. These are presented with historical materials, such as sketches, technical drawings, letters and historical photographs, to tell the story of this collection in an unprecedented way.
