CASSINA AT OSTUNI DESIGN WEEK-END

Cassina takes part in the first edition of Ostuni Design Week-end, the creative summit dedicated to design, from the 6th to the 9th of June, 2024, in the White City.

Inside the Diocesan Museum, the 7 Fauteuil tournant, durable small armchair by Charlotte Perriand, intégré à la Collection Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® is one of the protagonists of the “50 sfumature di bianco” (50 shades of white) installation curated by Giulio Cappellini, which pays tribute to the city of Ostuni showcasing a sequence of products born or declined in the colour white.

Designed in 1927 by Charlotte Perriand for her own apartment in the Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris, the 7 Fauteuil tournant, durable small armchair is an icon with a versatile and functional soul. The model was first presented at the 1928 Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and was also exhibited at the Salon d'Automne one year later, where it formed part of a collection that Charlotte Perriand co-created with Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret. Thanks to Cassina’s in-depth research and development, in 2023 the company presented the 7 Fauteuil tournant small armchair in the ‘durable’ version, that is to say, developed with circular materials, paying particular attention to sustainability.
